UVC treatment offers major advantages
over thermal & chemical
methods.
Short wave UVC light penetrates the cell structure of the
micro-organism (dust mites, fleas, etc) and destroys the DNA structure thus
preventing it from replicating. UVC is a very effective and secure way
of disinfecting furnishings. UVC treatment does not damage or modify the
physical characteristics of your furnishings, it simply makes the
furnishings better by assuring a bacteria free environment.
And, because no chemicals are involved,
there are no worries of coming into contact with harmful chemicals and their associated
by-products.
Radiation
simply means the process of
emitting energy in the form of waves or particles. There are four
principal wavelengths in the ultraviolet spectrum that lend themselves to
specific applications. The principal wavelength for the destruction of
bacteria is called
Bactericidal, commonly known as UVC.
